September Week 4 Day 29 UPowerUp!
Jesus is my Rock and the Foundation of my Life!

“So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, will be like a wise man [a far-sighted, practical, and sensible man] who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods and torrents came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them, will be like a foolish (stupid) man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods and torrents came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great and complete was its fall.”

When Jesus had finished [speaking] these words [on the mountain], the crowds were astonished and overwhelmed at His teaching; for He was teaching them as one who had authority [to teach entirely of His own volition], and not as their scribes [who relied on others to confirm their authority].
— Matthew 7:24-29 (AMP)

Beloved...  For who is God, but the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God? For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have--Jesus Christ! We are pressured in every way [hedged in], but not crushed; perplexed [unsure of finding a way out], but not driven to despair; hunted down and persecuted, but not deserted [to stand alone]; struck down, but never destroyed; always carrying around in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the [resurrection] life of Jesus also may be shown in our body.

Let's sing:
My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame But wholly lean on Jesus’ name... On Christ the solid rock I stand... All other ground is sinking sand...

Let's pray:
Almighty God, Heavenly Father, Abba incline Your ear to me, rescue me quickly; Be to me a rock of strength, A stronghold to save me. I believe that the Lord, Jesus Christ, is my Rock, and the foundation of my life and I will not be disturbed. I will not be moved, failed, nor denied of my provision, protection, peace and prosperity. My LORD, the Almighty, All-Sufficiency, All-Powerful, Sovereign God, He is unshakeable, immovable, and unchangeable. My LORD is my rock, and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart exults, and with my song, I shall thank Him.

The LORD lives and blessed be my rock, and exalted be the God of my salvation. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer, in Jesus name, I pray. AMEN
