September, Week 1, Day 3, UPowerUp!
God is my Source, Shield, and Salvation
Beloved.. Right in the midst of your affliction, choose to believe God and have a desire to receive... God has His hands on you. He says He will see you through and He will provide for you. Open your hearts and your hands to receive. Open your mouth and declare, "God alone is a Refuge from Treachery and Oppression! The Battle is the LORD! He is my Shepherd, my Source, my Shield, my Savior, my Shalom, my Salvation, my Strength... my Steadfast Lover! I receive long life in my right-hand and in my left-hand are riches and honor. God is on my side, I will not fear, fall, or fail... Absolutely nothing is impossible with God!"
For God alone my soul waits in silence; From Him comes my salvation. He alone is my rock and my salvation, My defense and my strong tower; I will not be shaken or disheartened. How long will you attack a man that you may murder him, all of you, Like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence? They consult only to throw him down from his high position [to dishonor him]; They delight in lies. They bless with [the words of] their mouths, But inwardly they curse.
-- Psalm 62:1-4 (AMP)
Prayer and Praise:
But I give thanks to my God, Almighty, the Maker of Heaven of Earth. I praise Him for His goodness, greatness, grace, mercy, and power. I trust in Him for my deliverance. Abba God alone is my Refuge from Treachery and Oppression! Worship is my weapon against this warfare...
O I give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His loving kindness endures forever. Out of my distress, I called on the Lord; The Lord answered me and set me free. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can mere man do to me? The Lord is on my side, He is among those who help me; Therefore I will look in triumph on those who hate me. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes. All nations encompassed me; In the name of the Lord I will surely cut them off. They encompassed me, yes, they surrounded me on every side; In the name of the Lord I will cut them off. They swarmed around me like bees; They flare up and are extinguished like a fire of thorns; In the name of the Lord I will surely cut them off. You. My enemy, pushed me violently so that I was falling, But the Lord helped me. The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation. The sound of joyful shouting and salvation is in the tents of the righteous: The right hand of the Lord does valiantly. The right hand of the Lord is exalted! I will not die, but live, and declare the works and recount the illustrious acts of the Lord.
